What a day! Class this morning, grocery shopping in the afternoon, tutoring for two hours for four kids that looooved to play coy with me: "I don't have any homework!", "No hablo ingles, lo siento!" (yeah, right), "Can we play now? now? how 'bout now? is it time to play yet?". But, when the kids were all leaving, one of the ones i tutored today came up to me, gave me a hug and told me thank you for helping him! What a sweetheart, so it made my day.
Those kids are crazy, but teaching me patience. However, they are also teaching me that i don't want to teach young kids. High school for me, thank you very much. At least high schoolers don't have boogers hanging out of their nose (for the most part). Ha! that reminds me. Last week when i tutored, one of the boys had a runny nose. So, he was sitting there reading and a line of snot kept dripping out of his nose, then he would sniff and suck it back up! It was so gross and so hilarous at the same time. I watched him do this a couple of times before telling him that he could go blow his nose in the bathroom.
kids.
